Personal information we collect
Depending on how you interact with MALVICE, we may collect:
- Identity and contact information, such as your name, email, phone number, billing address, and shipping address;
- Order and transaction information, such as products viewed or purchased, order history, returns, refunds, discounts, and delivery details;
- Payment-related information processed by Shopify and payment providers. MALVICE does not receive or store your complete payment-card number;
- Account information, preferences, and saved settings;
- Communications, support requests, reviews, and other information you choose to provide;
- Device, browser, network, IP address, cookie identifiers, and information about how you use the site; and
- Marketing preferences and information used to measure or personalize communications and advertising where permitted.
How we collect information
We collect information directly from you, automatically through the store and similar technologies, and from service providers that support the store, including Shopify, payment processors, fulfillment partners, carriers, analytics providers, advertising partners, fraud-prevention providers, and customer-support tools.
Purposes and legal bases
Where the GDPR, UK GDPR, or similar law applies, MALVICE processes personal information on the following legal bases:
- Contract: to accept payment, fulfill and deliver orders, operate accounts, provide support, and process returns or refunds;
- Legal obligation: to maintain tax and accounting records, respond to lawful requests, protect consumer rights, and comply with applicable law;
- Legitimate interests: to secure the store, prevent fraud, improve products and services, measure performance, manage business operations, and protect MALVICE, customers, and others, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights; and
- Consent: for optional marketing, non-essential cookies, or another purpose where the law requires consent. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
How we use information
We use personal information to provide and improve the store, process and deliver orders, communicate about purchases, provide customer support, manage accounts, handle returns and refunds, personalize your experience, send marketing communications you requested, measure campaigns, detect fraud and security incidents, enforce our terms, comply with law, and establish or defend legal claims.
Cookies and similar technologies
MALVICE and its service providers use cookies and similar technologies to keep the store working, remember choices, understand site use, prevent fraud, and—where permitted—measure or personalize marketing. You can use the cookie controls presented on the site and your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may prevent parts of the store or checkout from working. Eligible United States residents can also visit Your Privacy Choices.
When we disclose information
We may disclose personal information only as reasonably necessary to:
- Shopify, which hosts and powers the store and checkout;
- Payment processors, production and fulfillment partners, delivery carriers, customer-support providers, cloud and IT providers, analytics providers, and marketing providers;
- Professional advisers, insurers, auditors, and fraud-prevention or security providers;
- Government authorities or other parties when required by law or necessary to protect legal rights and safety; and
- A buyer, successor, or adviser in connection with a merger, financing, reorganization, or sale of all or part of the business, subject to appropriate safeguards.
Service providers may use information only for the services they provide or as otherwise permitted by their own legal obligations and privacy notices. MALVICE does not sell personal information for money.
Shopify
The store is powered by Shopify. Information you submit through the store is transmitted to Shopify and may be processed in countries other than your own. Learn more in the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy and use the Shopify Privacy Portal for rights relating to information controlled by Shopify.
International transfers
MALVICE is based in the United States and uses providers operating internationally. Your information may therefore be transferred to, stored in, or accessed from countries whose laws differ from those where you live. Where required, transfers from the European Economic Area, Switzerland, or the United Kingdom rely on an adequacy decision, approved standard contractual clauses, or another lawful transfer mechanism, together with supplementary safeguards where appropriate.
Retention
We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including order fulfillment, support, accounting and tax obligations, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and enforcement of agreements. Retention periods vary by the type of information, legal requirements, and whether an account or business relationship remains active. Information is deleted or anonymized when it is no longer needed, unless law requires or permits longer retention.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to personal information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, portability, or information about processing. You may also object to processing based on legitimate interests, withdraw consent, and opt out of certain marketing or targeted advertising. These rights can be limited by law, including where information must be retained for legal obligations or legal claims.
To exercise a right, email support@malvice.com with the subject “Privacy Request.” Describe the request and the account or order email involved. We may request information reasonably necessary to verify identity and authority. Where the GDPR applies, we normally respond within one month, subject to lawful extensions for complex or numerous requests.
Complaints
Please contact MALVICE first so we can address your concern. If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you may also lodge a complaint with the data-protection authority where you live, work, or believe an infringement occurred. A list of EEA authorities is available from the European Data Protection Board.
Marketing choices
You may unsubscribe from promotional emails using the link in the message or by contacting us. We may still send non-promotional messages about orders, accounts, security, or support.
Children
The store is not directed to children, and MALVICE does not knowingly collect personal information from a child who cannot legally consent to processing in their jurisdiction. A parent or guardian who believes a child provided information may contact us to request review and deletion.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information. No transmission or storage method is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
Third-party links
The store may link to third-party sites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices, and MALVICE is not responsible for services it does not control.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the store, providers, or law. The updated version will be posted here with a revised “Last updated” date, and additional notice will be provided when required.
